Monday 14th March 2022 – Bboxx Kenya, announces expansion plan to reach out to more Kenyans within the solar home market. This was announced during an event that was held at their offices in Ruiru. while awarding Mr. Ronald Injiri Akolo as the overall best sales agent across the Country.
Those who attended the event included Managing director Jeff Vanden Berghe, Head of Operations Joane Kayibanda, HRM Vincent Chegeh Macharia and other company officials.
The company has been extending its services to all counties across Kenya serving more than 500,000 Kenyans. Two months ago, Bboxx inked a KES 1.6 billion (c. USD 15 million) loan provided by SBM Bank Kenya, to provide access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy.
Jeff mentioned that the company products are specified to extremely high standards and are designed to last for years while the customer care department is trained to cater and respond to the emerging needs.
“We are providing affordable, reliable, and clean electricity and other utility services to millions of Kenyans who are living without, transforming lives and unlocking the potential of communities, cities,“ eff Vanden Berghe said.
He said that Bboxx’s Pay-As-You-Go Solar Home Systems mean access to more affordable solar energy as customers pay for ownership with flexible payment plans agreed upon. “We are working alongside governments and world-class international partners to help to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals in the next decade, with energy access catalyzing enabling economic development of communities and making progress on a range of the global goals,”.
He expressed the company’s commitment to serving Kenyans and delivering an unparalleled improvement in the quality of life for rural and urban households.
Mr. Ronald Injiri Akolo who was awarded the new motorcycle congratulated the company’s effort in transforming the lives of people on the grassroots level. He said that the demand for green energy has been on the rise and the government should partner with more investors in improving the lives of Kenyans. “I’m very happy today as I receive the award as the best sales agent nationally, Bboxx products will not be available in every part of Vihiga County as I will traverse every homestead delivering to the customers, “he said.
Human resource manager Vincent Chegeh Macharia said the company has received massive acceptance from end-users, given that the solar market remains a large market for the company to deliver quality and affordable solar energy to the people.
He said that the Kenyan market is well oriented to meet with the global standard of solar energy, adding that a lot of potential abounds in the country. “Through affordable, reliable, and clean utility provision, Bboxx is bringing people into the digital economy, creating new markets, and enabling economic development in off-grid communities and those living without a reliable grid connection, “he said.
